The Libera Awards Voting Process
Both A2IM members and non-members are eligible to submit entries in the listed categories on our platform. All submissions are first screened for eligibility. From there, A2IM members participate in two key stages:
- Panel of Experts Round – determines the finalists in each category.
- Final Round Voting – determines the winners who are announced at The Libera Awards
Entry Submission
A2IM members and non-members in the independent music community can submit entries released during the eligibility year (2025) in the category of their choice.

Screening
The A2IM team reviews all submissions and will contact you if any additional information is required. This process ensures that each entry meets eligibility requirements and is placed in the correct category. We are not evaluating the artistic or technical quality of the recordings.
Expert Committee Members
During the Panel of Experts Round, A2IM members vote on their favorite entries of the year. In addition, expert committees cast votes in their areas of expertise.
Final Round Voting
Once the nominations are announced, A2IM members vote to decide the winners in each category. As in the Panel of Experts Round, specialized expert committees also cast votes within their areas of expertise.
Results
All votes are securely tabulated through our voting platform. The entry with the most votes in each category is declared the winner.
